I'm going crazy packing to go live in Croatia for five months, so I apologize for the sparseness and the delays! I should have some time in the next week to write about some interesting things which have been piling up.
If anyone has interesting information about Dalmatia, let me know. I will be living in the city of Split, and am eager for information.
Wish me luck...

I don't know anything about Dalmatia, but I hope you'll take a day trip to Zadar to see the Sea Organ and report back to us!
There's a novel by Ann Bridge - Illyrian Spring which is about Split. Middle-aged female painters romance, set in the 50s, but quite interesting on the architecture
Split is a nice town. I've spent a lot of time there. You are very close to the island of Hvar - which is GORGEOUS - and to the little area of Rijeka/Opatia, which you should definitely spend some time in.
Ljulbjana is close, too, and has a VERY vibrant nightlife scene... and heck... Trieste is close by too!
I am very jealous... enjoy Croatia, and if you can ever swing it, spend a weekend in Sarajevo. Nicest people you will ever meet...
Croatia, wow. Enjoy your stay there.

I've found you. You're off! I thoroughly enjoy your blog. Luck to you!
I'm not sure if D ever mentioned this to you, but the tiny island of Vis is just a ferry away from Split, and from there you can take a boat to see the blue cave on the island of Bisevo. It is probably our most memorable (and certainly ethereal) day in Croatia.
Croatia is one of the most beautiful countries I've been to, you are going to have an amazing time. Looking forward to a Croatian inspired Cabinet of Wonders as well!
Good Luck!
